SMILE: Bringing Socialization and Connection to Seniors
Once a month, Assistance League Sierra Foothills volunteers bring creativity and compassion to memory care residents at Gold Country Senior Living in Placerville and the Pavilion at El Dorado Hills. Through hands-on crafts and warm one-on-one attention, our volunteers light up the room – and the faces of the residents they serve.

Seniors’ memories and problem-solving skills are stimulated, keeping their minds engaged.
Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are exercised and strengthened.
The participants’ smiles are our best reward.
