When a family, teenager, or child is suddenly uprooted, they may have only minutes to gather what matters most – often reaching for a grocery bag or garbage bag to carry their belongings. Assistance League Sierra Foothills provides duffle bags to children and adults in crisis across El Dorado County, offering a small but meaningful gesture of dignity during one of life’s most difficult moments.

Often families are caught between the complexities of the court system, foster care, or leaving an unsafe housing environment; by serving these individuals in their most vulnerable time, Bags For Belongings ensures they have a dependable way to carry their personal belongings as they transition from one place to another.
