Community Support and Outreach

Assistance League of Laguna Beach is a volunteer organization whose members put caring and commitment to work through community-based philanthropic programs. Through our community support and outreach programs we are able to help support adults and seniors as they navigate some of life’s challenges.

Collaborative Courts

Assistance League of Laguna Beach supports the Collaborative Courts Program which is offered to adults who are repeat offenders of nonviolent crimes.   Program participants work towards reentering society rather than being incarcerated.

The program offers participants who have met certain criteria, access to a social worker, therapist, judge and an attorney in a closely monitored and controlled environment.  Through rehabilitation, public service, therapy and alternative social programs, each participant is guided to make a safe and complete re-entry into society.

Supporting Seniors

Assistance League of Laguna Beach proudly supports Lifelong Laguna, a program for Laguna Beach Seniors, the hometown nonprofit that operates the Susi Q Community Center in the heart of downtown Laguna Beach.

Lifelong Laguna helps local seniors remain safe, independent, and connected by providing services and support that enable them to age in place in their own homes. To enhance communication and engagement, Assistance League of Laguna Beach provided Amazon Alexa Echo Dot devices to Lifelong Laguna members and purchased iPads for program participants.

Helping seniors stay connected through technology promotes independence, reduces isolation, and encourages active participation in the Laguna Beach community.

More recently, Assistance League of Laguna Beach has supported the “home modification assessments service” that reviews and modifies a home’s interior and exterior helping:

  • Reduce the risk of accidents
  • Make performing household tasks easier
  • Support living independently in one’s home
