Cultural Programs
Art belongs to everyone.
Our chapters partner with museums, theaters, and cultural institutions to make sure access to art and enrichment is not a question of family income.
A school field trip to a museum. A live performance for students who have never seen one. A class in painting, music, or theater for kids whose schools have cut the arts. These are not extras. They are the experiences that shape how children see themselves and what they imagine is possible.
Many of our chapters partner with cultural institutions to fund these experiences and bring them to children and community members who would not otherwise have access.
Arts & Culture Program Examples
- Museum and theater partnerships providing free admission and transportation for school groups
- Arts education in schools that have lost music or visual arts programs
- Cultural enrichment programming for seniors and people with disabilities
- Community concerts, performances, and exhibitions
Through arts and cultural experiences, Assistance League chapters help communities discover creativity, connection, and new possibilities.
