Laguna Beach

About Us

Celebrating over 60 years of service in Laguna Beach!

Assistance League of Laguna Beach is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action.

Our chapter’s history dates back to 1952, when fourteen visionary women came together to form an organization known as Las Amigas. In 1962, the chapter was officially chartered as the 29th chapter of Assistance League, a national nonprofit organization that today is 85 chapters strong. As a chapter of National Assistance League, we are part of a network of more than 22,000 dedicated volunteers across the country who are committed to transforming lives and strengthening communities through hands-on service.

With over 160 dedicated member volunteers, Assistance League of Laguna Beach proudly supports community-based philanthropic programs that serve people of all ages—from newborn infants to seniors. Through these programs, our volunteers work year-round to strengthen our community and improve quality of life for those in need. We encourage you to learn more about our chapter and the many ways you can become involved in making a difference.

Financial tax-deductible donations are always welcome and deeply appreciated.  Our Thrift Shop, located at 526 Glenneyre Street, is our main source of funding.  The shop is staffed and managed entirely by our wonderful member volunteers.  We also invite you to visit our on line eBay store featuring specialty and collectable items.  Donations of gently used clothing, household goods, and other treasures are always welcome and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Every donation and purchase helps us continue our mission of serving the community.

MISSION: Assistance League of Laguna Beach volunteers are focused on transforming lives and strengthening our community.

VISION: To meet the needs of challenged individuals in Laguna Beach and underserved populations in surrounding communities with particular attention focused on school-age children and those who are developmentally delayed.
