Veteran’s Support

Honoring Service – Supporting Futures

Assistance League of Huntington Beach is proud to support the brave men and women who have served our country by providing scholarships, financial assistance, and essential resources to local Veterans Resource Centers (VRC) throughout our community, including Coastline Community College VRC, Golden West College VRC, and the Huntington Beach Central Library VRC

Our veteran support efforts are designed to help veterans overcome barriers, pursue educational opportunities, and access the tools and services they need to build successful and fulfilling futures. From assistance with school expenses and academic support to providing everyday necessities and critical resources, we are committed to helping veterans and their families feel supported, valued, and connected.

We recognize the sacrifices our veterans have made in service to our nation, and we are honored to give back in meaningful ways that reflect our gratitude and respect. Through these partnerships and programs, Assistance League of Huntington Beach remains dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those who have given so much for others.

Making a Difference

“I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the scholarship you awarded me.  This opportunity is truly life changing for me…I plan to use it wisely, ensuring that my children and wife are also supported, especially with the expenses of a newborn.  It is comforting to know that you are rooting for my success.  My fellow veterans and their families, like me, are grateful for your continued support, both during and after our service.  I am now more confident in pursuing my goal of continuing my education and one day becoming a lawyer.  Thank you for your generosity.  My family and I will never forget what you have done for us.”

Sergeant U.S. Army Afghanistan Veteran

“When my military service ended, I struggled to adapt to civilian life and wasn’t sure what direction I wanted to take next. After facing many challenges, I realized that going back to school was the best path toward creating a fresh, healthy start for myself—but I didn’t know how I would afford it. The scholarship I received from Assistance League relieved so much of that financial pressure and allowed me to truly focus on my education and rebuilding my future. I am incredibly grateful for the support and opportunity.”

Grateful Veteran

“Thanks to the Assistance League’s generous Veteran’s Scholarship I received while I was at the Police Academy I was really able to focus on my training and achieve my goals. I am now proudly serving as a Patrol Officer of the Fountain Valley Police Department and continue to be a US Army Reserve.”
