Investing in Teachers – Inspiring Students

Links to Learning grants help educators bring creative programs and instructional materials into their classrooms, enriching the learning experience for students from TK through 8th Grade.

Started in 2008, Links to Learning began by providing grant awards to elementary school teachers in the Fountain Valley School District. Since then, the program has grown significantly, expanding its reach to support innovative educational projects in public schools throughout the Huntington Beach City, Ocean View, Westminster, and Fountain Valley School Districts.

These grants help teachers enrich classroom learning experiences and inspire students to achieve deeper understanding in key subject areas. Assistance League of Huntington Beach has also expanded the program to include a special grant opportunity dedicated to supporting first-year teachers as they begin their careers in education.

Making a Difference

Dear Assistance League of Huntington Beach Team,

We want to sincerely thank you for your generous support of the Seeds of Learning – Book & Gardening Club through the Links to Learning Program. Your partnership made it possible for our students to experience meaningful, hands-on learning that connected literacy, science, and gardening in powerful ways.

We are proud to share a few highlights from the program:

-Students planted and cared for gardens while learning how plants grow.

-We read engaging books that connected directly to nature and gardening.

-Students wrote, discussed, and reflected on their learning experiences.

-Students worked together, building teamwork and responsibility.

-We saw increased excitement and confidence in both reading and science.

Your support helped create a joyful learning environment where students could grow both academically and personally. We truly appreciate your commitment to our students and school community.

Thank you again for making this program possible. We hope to continue and grow this partnership in the future.

Warmly,

Lauren Vu-Tran, Fryberger School, Westminster SD
