Our Chapter launched the Operation Scholar Support program in the Fall of 2015 to benefit students at Brunswick Community College (Brunswick County) and Cape Fear Community College (New Hanover County).

There are many great success stories:
Michael King, an ALGW scholarship recipient from Cape Fear Community College, stopped by the Thrift Shop to show his acceptance letter from Columbia University to Nancy Fiedler and Marsha Olender, ALGW past presidents. Michael is very appreciative of the ALGW scholarship that has taken him from community college to the Ivy League.
