Assistance League of Greater Wilmington is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that is transforming lives and strengthening community through our philanthropic programs that serve the Greater Wilmington area. Our local chapter is one of 95 chapters of National Assistance League that started in Los Angeles in the early 1900s.
Our funds raised are used to serve the people of New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender counties.
Since 2008, our chapter’s Philanthropic Programs have given over over $2,856,000 to help those in need.

Operation Seniors presents monthly social activities for seniors in some low-income retirement facilities.
Operation SECU Family House
Operation SECU Family House provides goods and services for Novant/NHRMC patients and family members staying at SECU Family House.
Operation It’s in the Bag
Operation It’s in the Bag serves nonprofit organizations in the tri-county area with redistributed items from the overflow of Thrift Shop donations.
