Adopted in 1989, our largest philanthropic program, Operation School Bell, provides new clothing and essential supplies to underprivileged and unhoused elementary-aged children. Students are referred by teachers, school counselors, and principals who recognize their needs. Each child receives a pair of jeans, two T-shirts, a zip-up hoodie, socks, underwear, school supplies, a hygiene kit, a new book, and a gift card for shoes.
In the early days, the counselors brought the children to our program building on Sierra Nevada to try on the clothes. Now, dedicated volunteers pack up the clothes according to pre-filled-out size charts and the counselors come to pick up the bags from our building.
