Book Buddies
Assisting students to become lifelong readers
The Book Buddies program has member volunteers, most of whom are retired teachers, utilizing a phonics-based reading tutoring program for struggling second graders at a local school. Each child receives 30 minutes of tutoring every week for most of the school year.
This program has functioned successfully for ten years and has received several awards.
