For first-year teachers, the journey can be both exciting and overwhelming.
This program is designed to support educators from day one and set them up for success in the classroom.

The Enhancing Teacher Classrooms Program (ETC) offers grants of up to $500 to teachers in their first through third years at Title 1 schools in the Seattle School District. These funds allow educators to build vibrant, engaging learning environments that better support and inspire their students.

Applications are open from June through October, with awards announced by mid-November. Teachers apply online by outlining their classroom needs and proposed budget. Grant recipients are asked to share how the funded materials enhanced student learning.
