Our membership has spoken!

Fran Tovar has been named the Assistance League of North Coast nominee for 2026 North County Philanthropy Council Volunteer of the Year.

Fran, as one survey respondent commented, “…is the best of the best!”

Fran, Assistance League of North Coast 2026 Anne Banning award winner, presently serves on the Board of Directors as the Education Chair. She has also served on the Board as Marketing Chair.  In addition, she has chaired several programs including Footsteps and Home Alone.  These are just some of the ways Fran has contributed to our chapter and the children we serve.  She has also been an active participant in the Working Professionals and New Haven Boys.  She serves as an Advocate to Mission Elementary School.  Fran also works tirelessly in the Thrift Shop and volunteers as Team Lead.  She coordinates our participation in the Senior Expo, Health Expo, and Police Night Out making our presence known in the community.   If this weren’t enough, she sings with Maskquerade Brigade bringing cheer to fellow members.

As one of her fellow members remarked, “Fran is always ready to step up and serve.”  With her calm and kind attitude, Fran leads by example.  Please join us at our March 26 chapter meeting to celebrate this one-of-a-kind member, our Assistance League of North Coast nominee for 2026 North County Philanthropy Council Volunteer of the Year!
