This award is given rarely.  I believe this is the third time our chapter has given this award, so the winner of this award is really a special kind of leader.

Nominees for this award included:  Nancy Nelson, Cheryl McGlocklin, Beverly Charles, Paula Alexander, Jim Connelly, Sandy Matheus, Fran Tovar, Anna Manwaring, Angela Bear and Helen Clark.

The winner of the award is an amazing leader.  We would be here most of the afternoon if I were to list all her contributions.

Here are some highlights:

• She currently holds a Board position
• She is one of our past presidents
• She is a Thrift Shop team leader
• She has chaired our Gala more than once
• She leads our estate sale teams
• She chairs the Community Assistance Program
• She is always available for consultation and advice
• And more than anything, she believes in the power of this organization and in its members.
