Our teen volunteers are passionate about giving back, developing leadership skills, and supporting programs that make a direct impact in the Long Beach community. Adopt-A-Family provides food banks in our local area with canned goods and gifts. Assisteens has teamed up with the California State University, Long Beach to help create 25,000 packaged meals for the homeless. Feast of the Hearts provides home-cooked meals for parents staying at Ronald McDonald House while a child is a patient at Miller Children’s and Women’s Hospital Long Beach. Blankets are made for women & children who are displaced from their homes through the Women’s Shelter of Long Beach.
Assisteens® are comprised of high school students dedicated to building community volunteerism and future leaders. Assisteens® members support chapter programs while maintaining their own activities.
