Through this initiative, Assistance League® provides local emergency response agencies with certified-safe teddy bears to comfort children, young adults, and women in times of crisis. These bears serve as a simple yet meaningful gesture of care, offering reassurance during difficult moments.

Our members take great pride in Operation Bear Hug—a program that truly represents a gift from the heart. Each year, dedicated funding allows us to supply bears to a wide range of civic and community organizations.

Every bear distributed provides comfort and touches a life. As the need for support continues to grow, so does our commitment. This year alone, we have individually packaged and distributed more than 2,500 bears, bringing the program’s total to over 35,000 bears.
