Assistance League of Denver is a non-profit organization with 300 dedicated volunteers who contributed over 26,000 hours last year to support the Denver community. Our philanthropic programs aim to positively impact students, families, and seniors. Funding primarily comes from sales in our Thrift Shop.
Membership is open for those who are eager to support our community and possess the time, creativity, and passion to volunteer. Members engage in all facets of our organization, serving as volunteers across various programs, leading different teams, and participating on our Board of Directors.
By sharing your enthusiasm and lending a helping hand, you can truly make a difference in your community while forging lasting friendships!
The annual membership fee for voting members is $75.00, along with a one-time orientation fee of $30.00.
Community volunteers work side by side with our members to provide essential services to those we serve. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for individuals who have the time and energy to contribute occasionally, possess a genuine passion for one of our programs, or wish to participate in one-time projects. We also encourage corporate involvement in our community volunteer programs.
Come and be a part of our mission! Not only will you have a positive impact on our community, but you’ll also connect with a fantastic group of dedicated volunteers. Many individuals join for our programs and find lasting friendships along the way.
Assistance League of Denver invites students in grades 7-12 to volunteer while fostering community responsibility, self-reliance, and leadership skills through service. Assisteens support philanthropic projects like Operation School Bell® and We Share, often collaborating with league members. They volunteer at the Denver Thrift Shop, assisting with operations and also organize clothing drives to support students in need at local high schools. Leadership roles include board positions and committee chairs. This program builds friendships, lasting memories, and practical skills.
