As a promise to our existing artists to highlight their work, particularly in the fall which is the primary selling time, we do not accept applications for new artists from October thru December.  The introduction of new artists at this time would dilute the sales opportunity for existing artists who have been with us for at least the previous year.  We encourage those interested to come to the shop to get the feel for what Blue Portal is – a very unusual venue for the work of community senior citizens. Blue Portal starts accepting applications in March of each year and the information is included on this website.  Artists have found, universally, that their participation from the spring helps tailor their work and prices to current market trends for Old Town and Blue Portal.
