Assistance League of San Jose is a volunteer, nonprofit organization whose members have had a passion for supporting vital community services since 1983.
Our community service programs are designed to serve unmet needs in San Jose.

$$ Dining for Dollars Summer Social $$Thursday, July 9th
7AM to 9PM
Come to Jack Holder’s Restaurant & Bar for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. When you enjoy a meal with Assistance League members, family, friends and supporters, or order take-out, our chapter will receive a donation from the restaurant equal to 20% of your bill (not including alcoholic beverages). We put the FUN in FUNdraiser! Click here for the Jack Holder’s flyer and bring it with you to the restaurant.
Provides services to three shelters: sorting donations, cooking dinners, and providing childhood enrichment and holiday programs to families.
Donates hand-made baby layettes and lap blankets to community non-profit hospitals including Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and to several other organizations.
Volunteers listen to students in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms read, helping the students read with sufficient accuracy and fluency to support comprehension.
Provides uniforms, sweatshirts and underwear to children in need in elementary schools to promote self-esteem, and to improve achievement and attendance.
Reads to 2nd and 3rd grade students to instill the love of reading and donates books to the classrooms.
Use your talents and skills to assist those in need in your own neighborhood.
Every dollar funds the programs which serve the community!
