Operation Bookshelf serves those homebound patrons of the Eugene Public Library who cannot get to the library in person to select their reading or entertainment materials.
In concert with the Library staff, Assistance League of Eugene volunteers load into their vehicles and personally deliver them to individuals’ homes or apartments.
Volunteer members then return the books and other materials the following month when they drop off the new supply.
The library patrons are very appreciative of this service and interactions with Assistance League of Eugene members.
