About Us

WE BELIEVE

Assistance League volunteers transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs.

Assistance League Coachella Valley is part of a national organization whose volunteers help transform lives through programs designed to strengthen our community. We are dedicated to identifying and delivering philanthropic support addressing community needs. Each year members give over 40,000 hours of service. We believe in supporting our community with programs that allow us to connect personally with those we serve.

Our History

Celebrating 50 Years of Service in the Coachella Valley

Assistance League Coachella Valley is an all-volunteer organization serving the Coachella Valley.

Our chapter was first Assistance League Palm Springs Desert Area (chartered in 1976) but changed in 2020 to Assistance League Coachella Valley which more accurately describes the area we serve.

Our philanthropic programs have developed over the years into a singular mission to enrich the lives of those in this community.

NATIONAL STRENGTH – LOCAL FOCUS

Founded in 1919 as Assistance League of Southern California and incorporated as National Assistance League® in 1935, there are currently 120 chapters throughout the United States.

Assistance League Coachella Valley (formerly Assistance League Palm Springs Desert Area) is the 58th chapter of National Assistance League.

While we benefit from the full strength of our national organization, our funds are raised and spent locally to meet the growing needs of our community here in the Coachella Valley.
