Our Assisteens Auxiliary was founded in 1964 to enable our teenages from 7th through 12th grade help others while learning new skills. This group is currently 80 members strong and open to both female and male students.
Funds earned in the Thrift Store support our Assisteen community programs. These are the only funds our teenagers need to raise. They volunteer in the store on Saturdays. During the summer they have the opportunity to assist with stocking and other operational tasks.
Hours worked in the Thrift Store and their many volunteer activities count toward the National Service Award. Eleven of our girls received these awards in 2026.
The Assisteens are a busy and dedicated group of volunteers. They offer support for many of the philanthropic projects of Assistance League of Fullerton such as our Taste of the Town® and ALPHA’s Day of the Authors. They also have many favorite programs of their own and are always looking for ways to help our community.
Baskets include a turkey roast and all the trimmings for deserving families identified by local schools.
Our meetings always include fun projects like making awards for the Fullerton Library Summer Reading Program.
Hosting a Christmas Party for the Boys and Girls Club has always been one of the favorite activities
