Put A Smile On (PASO) Bears®

Bears for children in crisis, provide comfort, reassurance, and a sense of security,
during difficult moments.

Four hundred Teddy Bears are provided to emergency services and organizations to help calm and give comfort to children in traumatic situations.
El Paso area first responders have a cuddly friend tucked away in their vehicle for when a traumatic situation arises, and the PASO Bear is ready to go to work.

Since 1988, Assistance League of El Paso’s members have provided comfort bears to children in our community who are experiencing crisis or trauma.

Through partnerships with local agencies these bears are placed directly into the arms of children facing difficult and often frightening situations.

This simple gesture offers reassurance, comfort, and a sense of security when it is needed most.
