Helping Others Transition from Dependence to Independence

Homelessness is an overwhelming life circumstance. The number of men, women and children who do not have shelter continues to grow in our community. In response, Assistance League of the Eastside provides local shelters with the personal care items needed during the transition from dependence to independence. We also host home-cooked meals that create a sense of community. It is our wish to develop optimism and hope in the hearts of the families we serve.

Our Women Inspired Network offers the opportunity for members who cannot participate in workday meetings to contribute to our community as the Women Inspired Network program meets in the evening.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

COMMUNITY PARTNERS

Assistance League of the Eastside is proud to partner with agencies that work to end homelessness in our community. To help rebuild lives, our Women Inspired Network program supports these partners:

Lake Washington United Methodist Church Safe Parking

Provides women and families living in their cars a safe place to park, sleep, shower, and access to laundry facilities, a kitchen and a stocked pantry.  Our Women Inspired Network program partners with Safe Parking to provide ad hoc needs for their clients.

New Bethlehem Family Shelter

Offers safe temporary housing to Eastside families in need.  Our Women Inspired Network Program supports New Bethlehem with meals, pantry items, activities and other shelter asks.

Move in Ministries

Supports local shelter needs to help pave the way for clients to move into housing by offering clients access to new or gently used household goods and furniture.  Our Women Inspired Network program provides regular donations of bedding and kitchen items.

In uplifting others, we all rise
