Las Caritas

Formed in 1985, this professional women’s auxiliary enabled working women a chance to volunteer after work hours. Las Caritas, professional women caring for others, administers and funds their own philanthropic projects, in addition to helping the chapter.

Ascencia Homeless Shelter- Guest Chef Program

Members plan, purchase and cook a meal for the families at the shelter in Glendale.

Glendale Unified School District Student Welfare Service

Members collect and donate food to families in need.

Health Kits for Operation School Bell®

Members prepare personal care packages for the Glendale Unified School District children.

Ascencia Food Bank

Members collect and deliver food for the homeless shelter, Ascencia.

Assisteens®

Assisteens are auxiliaries of Assistance League® chapters that encourage and provide volunteer opportunities for youn people in grades 7-12. The goals are to develop a sense of both community and personal responsibility, self-reliance, public speaking and leadership skills.

Assistance League Glendale established our Assisteens auxiliary in 1996. During the school year, the group meets the first Monday each month with ongoing volunteer opportunities. Assisteens and their parents are often found in our thrift shop on Saturday.
