Join our community of volunteers bringing comfort and hope to children and adults facing hardship in Deschutes County. We are an all-volunteer organization, ensuring the greatest possible share of every dollar raised goes directly to the programs and people we serve.
During the fiscal year ending May 31, 2025, our members and community volunteers dedicated 10,224 hours across all programs—an investment valued at $355,693 in service to our community!

Two Ways to Volunteer
Whether as a member or community volunteer, your time and talents make a real difference right here in Deschutes County.
There are two ways to get involved:
- Become a Member – Join our all-volunteer, member-driven organization and take an active role in programs, committees and events.
- Community Volunteer – Help with programs and events on a flexible basis without becoming a member.
Become a Member
- Support programs and fundraising events
- Serve on committees
- Participate at your own pace – no minimum hours
Voting Member — $75/year
Getting started:

- Attend a brief orientation and mentoring session, including a tour of the Chapter House
- Orientation sessions offered in August, October, February and May
- One-time orientation fee: $35 (includes background check, name tag and Chapter House key)
Community Volunteer
Looking for flexibility? Community volunteers help support programs and events on a schedule that works for them.
Ways to help:
- Assist with philanthropic programs
- Support fundraising events

- Cost: $16.45, valid for 3 years
- Simple process: Click here to complete background check and you’ll receive email confirmation from the Background Investigation Bureau within a few days.
