Assistance League of Bend is an all-volunteer nonprofit serving Deschutes County, bringing comfort and hope to children and adults facing hardship through hands-on, community-based programs. All funds raised stay local, and with no paid staff, the greatest possible share of every dollar directly supports the programs and people we serve.
Celebrating over 35 years of service in Deschutes County, Assistance League of Bend is one of the 119 chapters of Assistance League, a national nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action across the United States.
The Advisory Council, composed of representative members of the community, serves the corporation in an advisory capacity. They review and offer advice on Assistance League of Bend’s financials, programs and fundraising activities as well as provide in-kind professional expertise when appropriate. As ambassadors for Assistance League of Bend, they are a critical interface between the organization and community leaders. Council members serve for three-year terms.
