STEM and Literacy Programs Impact Thousands of Victor Valley Students

Read, Enjoy And Develop

At  Assistance League of Victor Valley, we believe that investing in education opens doors to a brighter future. Through our Project R.E.A.D. programs—STEM Awards and Literacy—we equip local students and teachers with the tools, resources, and inspiration they need to thrive. Whether it’s providing a classroom with hands-on science materials or putting brand-new books into the hands of young readers, our members are committed to making a lasting impact in every Victor Valley school district we serve.PR2026

LITERACY AWARDS

The Literacy Program is one of Assistance League of Victor Valley’s most meaningful philanthropic programs. Through this project, every third grader in selected schools receives two brand-new books to call their own. This project not only encourages literacy, but creates an opportunity to build reading skills and strengthen a lifelong love of learning.

In 2026, we distributed 3,324 books to 1,662 third grade students at 18 sites throughout the High Desert. We were also able to distribute 550 bonus books to each library as well.

The following districts were represented:

Adelanto Elementary School District

Apple Valley Unified School District

Helendale School District

Hesperia Unified School District

Lucerne Valley Unified School District

Oro Grande School District

Snowline Joint Unified School District

Victor Elementary School District
