NATIONAL OPERATION SCHOOL BELL® AWARD

Presented to JCPenney, Mall of Victor Valley in May, 2025.

For the past three years, we have descended upon JCPenney in the Mall of Victor Valley.   In preparation for our arrival, they set up a registration table with chairs, two different verification tables with chairs, and then dedicate two registers to be used exclusively to ring up our students’ purchases.  In addition to this, they offer discount coupons, typically between 30% and 40% off store brands, so students’ money goes even further.

We are grateful for all JCPenney does to ensure the success of our clothing events!

QUIET WOMAN AWARD

The Quiet Woman Award was established in 1984, to be presented to that member who quietly contributed many hours, in many areas, to the benefit of the chapter and its members.  The recipient of this award will exemplify all that is best in volunteerism – willingness to accept most any assignment, cheerfulness, self-effacement and who serves with compassion and contributes many hours over and above the requirements established by the chapter.

2025-2026 recipient:   JoAnn Seel

Throughout her eight years as a member, JoAnn has always had a positive attitude as she works countless hours on the Board of Directors, in committees,  and in the Thrift Shop.
