Operation School Bell

Operation School Bell

Kids In Need: Assistance League provides new school uniforms plus winter hats and gloves to students at eight local Title I public schools. This year we will give 3,100 uniforms to in-need students.

Kids On The Block: Our volunteers and their toddler-sized puppets visit second graders throughout the county to spread an anti-bullying message.

Project Literacy: Our volunteers work in classrooms, donate books to students and organize enrichment activities at three of our partner schools.

Mary O’Malley’s Backpack Friends: We assist Meade Heights Elementary School with their Backpack Buddy Program, which provides assistance to students identified with food insecurities. We have given over 2,200 weekend breakfast, lunch and dinner food items to in-need students.

Sing-Alongs: This interactive sing-along program allows seniors in assisted-living facilities to enjoy the songs they remember from their youth.

Greeting Cards: We provide a personal connection by sending greeting cards signed by our members to senior citizens at local facilities throughout the year.
