About Us

Providing over 35 years of service in Placer County!

Assistance League of Greater Placer is one of the many nation-wide chapters of Assistance League, a national nonprofit organization that puts caring and commitment into action. In the fiscal year ending May 31, 2025, our chapter had 195 dedicated members who volunteered 39,228 service hours and touched the lives of more than 6,817 people in Placer County through our philanthropic programs. 

Our Fiscal Year – Ending May, 2025

In the Fiscal Year ending May 31, 2025, our accomplishments include:
  • Provided more than 1,673 children with new clothing and donated additional clothing to local school clothes closets
  • Provided 316 school children with backpacks and school supplies
  • Awarded over $55,000 in scholarships to 24 alternative high school graduates
  • Brightened the days of 80 senior care residents with friendship, cards, and music
  • Provided 83 people with clothing and/or work boots to re-enter the work force
  • Helped 245 individuals/families meet unforeseen emergency needs
  • Provided 968 students with new pairs of shoes
  • Distributed over 300 coats to local citizens in need of warm clothing
  • Assisted more than 598 unhoused/displaced Placer County citizens with backpacks meals, coats, and clothing items
  • Provided emergency clothing and kits to assault and human trafficking survivors
  • Distributed over 868 bags of unsold goods and clothing to area partners
  • Conducted puppet shows for more than 1,973 children to educate them about bullying, school safety, cultural and learning differences
  • Provided literacy enrichment activities and books to 375 children in grades 1, 2, and 3
  • Voted “Best of the Best Thrift Shop” in the 2024 Auburn Journal survey
